b'Dear Community Members,The Council for a Healthier Community is committed to health for ALL. We applaud and celebrate the successes of Healthy Monadnock partners and champions over the past ten years. This initiative has moved past identifying problems and into a pathway for action. To improve health for everyone in the Monadnock region, we need to think BIG. Transformational change requires bringing diverse voices to the table, using research and evidence to set common goals, and propelling progress through shared accountability. Further, connecting with the right people will help us implement new policies and secure needed support. As the challenges of improving health become more complicated, its more important than ever to coordinate across borders and institutions. At the Council, we have intentionally broadened our membershipand welcome new membersto help our strategy evolve and be more responsive. The first-of-its-kind Community Health Improvement Plan 20152018 (CHIP) is an invaluable resource that can be used by a wide variety of organizations to inform health-related strategic planning and better align efforts with existing work. The document builds upon the Healthy Monadnock indicators and strategies developed by the community in 2009. We encourage you to visit the Healthy Monadnock website (www.healthymonadnock.org) to review these guiding documents. As overseers of the Healthy Monadnock initiative, the vision of becoming the healthiest community in the nation means health equality. We hope you will join us in finding ways for EVERYONE to be healthy.Sincerely,Tim Murphy, ChairCouncil for a Healthier Community'
