b'Where Are We Going?Action plans bring the principles and aspirations of Vision 2020 to life. They are the roadmaps that providethe direction to move the effort forward. The action planning process, which took place during 2010-11, wasstructured across five broad themes: social determinants that influence health, education and awareness ofhealthy lifestyle behaviors, healthy eating, active living and social support networks. The Vision 2020 action plans are focused on improving quality of life and preventing the leading causes ofdeath. More than 300 Cheshire County residents contributed to their development. Many of the strategiesare intended to provide high-impact change that will affect large groups of people, while others encouragehealthy habits and lifestyle changes among children, adults and seniors. Taken together, the goal of theaction plans is to give every single member of the Cheshire County community equal opportunity to be thehealthiest he/she can be.These strategies represent the first of many future community activities that will make Vision 2020 asuccess.
